Gabrielle Napoli
Age 23 – United States
Gabrielle is a Middle Eastern, Italian Jew who was born with the sense that coexistence in this world is the only type of existence we have. She was born and Raised in Brooklyn, NY, where she later went on to study International Relations, Communications and Latin American Studies at SUNY New Paltz. She has traveled all over Latin America and has participated in various community projects both in the states and abroad.
As an Undergrad she spent a year studying in Argentinas’ capital of Buenos Aires, where she acclimated to a social and political climate of activism and constant change. Upon graduating, she then returned to work as a translator and English professor in several different companies and organizations in Buenos Aires. She as well began to oversee the communications of World Peace Youth and the Marketing and Communications of Peace Pals Internationals. In addition, Gabrielle will participate and lead as a mentor for a Youth Educational Trip to Peru in the summer of 2018.
In her experiences in different regions of the world, the constant element she finds to stand true is the kindness and similarities human beings share with one another, no matter the language. Her love of connecting with and learning from different people has led her to learn new languages and find peace even in the most “unpeaceful” places on the earth.
She believes that changes are made in small and big strides, and the foundation to a more peaceful and understanding world is education. Only when we begin to listen and learn from others will we be closer to reaching and maintaining a more peaceful world.
